Airport Mesa Loop, Sedona, Arizona 11/12/17

The Airport Mesa Loop trail in Sedona is a 3.3 mile loop that offers awesome views of the area. There is about 500 feet elevation gain around the loop. I would rate this trail as easy but this is subjective.
If you can't find parking at the small trailhead parking area then you can park at the airport for $3. It adds about .6 miles to the hike and a couple hundred feet of elevation gain.

I went to Oak Creek Brewing for a little pre-hike fuel. Their Nut Brown is very tasty.

It was perfect hiking weather.

The trail.

Each intersection is signed so you don't have an excuse if you get lost.

I love Sedona.

Highway 179, Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte.

Cathedral Rock
A couple of trailside ocotillos.

The Oak Creek riparian zone.

Cockscomb Rock

Heart-shaped cactus

Sedona, Arizona has endless hiking opportunities.
