On 11/3/11 I made my first trip to Silver Falls State Park. It would not be my last.
Leaving Bend, Oregon I ran into a dusting of snow along the Cascade crest.

Vine maples make the understory explode with color.

South Falls

This is one of my all time favorite photos.

South Falls is 177 feet tall and there is a trail that goes behind it.

This fall is a roaring beast.
