Silver Star Mountain in Washington, 6/22/2014

The Silver Star Mountain hike is a 4 mile loop that offers great views and abundant wildflowers.

On top of the world. Mt. Rainier on the left and Mt. Adams on the right.

The total elevation gain on this hike is about 1000 feet.

Columbine

Mt. Hood

Mount St. Helens and Mt. Rainier

Beautiful trail.

Looking north.

Mt. Hood,

Mount St. Helens,

Mt. Rainier,

and Mt. Adams. All four of the above photos were taken from the same spot.

This is a great hike if you like wildflowers.

St. Helens rising above a field of wildflowers.

The trail was in excellent shape.

There always seems to be a volcano on the horizon while hiking Silver Star Mtn.
Heading back down to the trailhead.

If you're in the Portland area then I highly recommend this hike.
